Food, Water & Zero-Waste Dishware
Food and drink are not included with the Full Festival Pass or Day Pass. You may bring your own food, and four-meal vouchers for festival food are sold separately through the SWFF ticket shop.
We are working to make the festival as low-waste as possible. The community food area will not rely on disposable dishware, so please bring your own reusable bowl or plate, cup, and utensils. A dish-voucher option will be available for guests who cannot bring their own. After rinsing, washing, and returning festival dishware, you receive another voucher for the next use.
Water stations will be available, but bringing extra water is strongly recommended.
- Reusable bowl or plate, cup, and utensils
- Biodegradable soap for dishwashing
- Breakfast food and snacks
- Extra jugs of water
- Water filter or purification tablets (optional)
- Cooler with ice packs
- Cooking stove, fuel, utensils, pots, and pans if you plan to cook (optional)
Forays & Foraging
- Basket or bag for collecting mushrooms and other edibles
- Knife for harvesting and preparing
- Brush for cleaning mushrooms
- Gloves for protection from thorns or prickly plants
- Mushroom identification guide or book
- Paper bags or separate containers for collected items
- Extra trash bag for collecting trash you encounter in nature
- An offering for the land, such as tobacco, sage, or something you grew, if this is part of your practice
Respect the Land
Please respect the Pueblo of Nambe, the land, water, wildlife, recreation-area neighbors, and other foragers. Pack out what you bring in, leave no trace, and follow ethical foraging practices and festival guidance.
